    From Norwegian arctic water to probiotic functional drinks, the winners of the 2016 Global Bottled Water Awards have been announced.

    The awards gathered more than 100 entries from 25 countries around the world. There were 11 categories, demonstrating creativity, innovation, marketing, community initiative and environmental best practice.

    The awards were organised by industry advisers Zenith International with the support of the International Bottled Water Association and BeverageDaily.

    The winners were announced at a Gala Dinner during the 13th Global Bottled Water Congress in Prague.

    Winner: Best Natural Water Taste

    Lofoten Water – Lofoten Arctic Water AS, Norway

    A premium brand of bottled water from the Lofoten Islands in the north of Norway

    Winner: Best Flavored Water Taste

    Mattoni Magnesia Red – Karlovarské Minerální Vody as, Czech Republic

    A lightly sparkling, low-calorie drink with fruit syrup, free from sweeteners and preservatives.

    Winner: Best Functional Water

    Plenish Water+ – Plenish Cleanse Ltd, United Kingdom

    A UK organic and dairy-free probiotic drink.

    Winner: Best New Water Concept / Innovation

    AquaBotanical Water – AquaBotanical Beverages Pty Ltd, Australia

    The ‘world’s first’ botanical water is sourced from fruit and vegetables.

    Winner: Best New Brand / Brand Extension

    Icelandic Glacial Sparkling – Icelandic Water Holdings hf, Iceland

    Sourced from the ?lfusSpring in Iceland, with naturally low mineral content.

    Winner: Best Packaging

    Aqua Santa Maria – Sayakci Natural Stone & Aqua Santa Maria, Turkey

    Natural spring water from Mount Koressos.

    Winner: Best Label

    Cabreiroá ‘Paw Patrol’ – Hijos de Rivera SAU, Spain

    Children’s bottled water with Paw Patrol characters

    Winner: Best Cap or Closure

    Water.io Smart Cap – Water IO, Israel

    Smart cap that lights up to remind users to hydrate; and connects to consumers’ mobile phones to measure real time water consumption.

    Joint winners: Best Marketing including Social Media

    Athens Marathon campaign – Coca-Cola HBC Greece, Greece

    Avra mineral water campaign at the Athens Marathon

    “Girl Up” social campaign – Niagara Bottling LLC, United States

    Celebrates girls in youth soccer

    Winner: Best Sustainability Initiative

    AquaBotanical Water for India – AquaBotanical Beverages Pty Ltd, Australia

    The ‘world’s first’ botanical water is sourced from fruit and vegetables.

    Winner: Best Community Initiative

    “Play and Learn” CSR programme – Coca-Cola HBC, Greece
